A Little About Me: I am a very caring person, concerned about all things going on in the world. I am considerate, friendly, have a great sense of humor and am generally very happy. I am interested in many things and read a great deal. I love old movies, old songs, jazz, opera and other music, except rap. I enjoy traveling, but don't like to do that alone. Been to many places all over the world and enjoyed them all.
I'm looking for: I would like to meet someone to have dinner with and be friends with. If anything romantic could happen between us, that would be fine too. I am looking for friendship and companionship, someone to travel with if possible who would enjoy the adventure of new places.
Some of My Interests: I read a lot. I'm also interested in archaeology, anthropology and astronomy as hobbies. I like movies and am an expert on older ones. I also enjoy music which I grew up with (Tony Bennett, Sinatra, etc.) as well as jazz, showtunes, etc. I enjoy history, museums, libraries, research.
Random Thoughts: I have been widowed for 10 years and did not feel very lonely for quite a while. Last year I retired from my company after 19 years and it is difficult not to have the routine of work every day. I have always done volunteer work and continue that phase of my life but that is done in the evening once or twice a month and the days and weekends are usually free. Two of my four grandchildren live nearby and I see them but they don't take up all my time. In general, I like being busy.
